OK, so this is my first post on our blog, and it has to be a plug! This Saturday night, the St. Charles Young Republicans is holding an "Are You Smarter Than a Democrat?" Trivia Night fundraiser. Ok, just so this is not just another layout blog post - we got a new couch and new tv! It's so nice to finally get stuff of our own that we want, rather than hand-me-downs. Don't misunderstand, I love free stuff, and it got us through the first 5 yrs of marriage, including a new house, w/o breaking the bank. We're so grateful for all of it. But we finally got new stuff! It's quite nice, perhaps I'll do a LO about it :) OK, so here's a new LO anyway.

Thought I'd feature Aunt Courtney this time. She is David's favorite aunt after all.

Ok, just finished this layout for a kit I won, sort of, and I actually really like it so I'm going to post it. More baby David scraps are in my DST gallery - link on right.

This is David's new obsession, watching this pug lick his computer screen. He just sits there and giggles at it, and if I should dare to let the screen hit screen saver, he freaks out and hits the nearest key he can get to. Hey, if something amuses David for more than 30 seconds, I'm good with it.

Ok, so we've established that David does not like snow. At least when he's wearing so much protective gear that he can't get up when he falls down, which is frequent in big, puffy snowsuits. It snowed about 7" here, so I was thinking David might have fun playing in it. Maybe next year...

And who is RDA? Why this is the affectionate nickname for Richard Dean Anderson in the Crepeau household. Richard. Dean. Anderson. (said w/ smokers husky Patti and Selma voices) Now I do not have many celebrity crushes. Even as a hormonal teenager, it was pretty much limited to Zack Morris, MacGyver and Captain Jean Luc Picard. I know, I have weird celebrity crushes when I have them, with the exception of Zack Morris. But seriously, RDA is something like 57 today, and he still looks good. Yes, Matt is ok with my RDA crush, as he is now a big RDA fan due to a little show called Stargate SG-1, of which my brother has graciously loaned us boxed sets of seasons 1-6. However Matt did not grow up with MacGyver, which I see as tantamount to child abusion (another Lukism) and will be remedied. Although Matt does have a healthy respect for duct tape, which is evidence of RDA's influence via MacGyver, whether he knew it or not. So in summary, happy birthday RDA, and here's hoping all the...
